Camera Workshop Test

Our year was lucky enough to have camera workshops for a couple of lessons and was shown how to use a Sony XDCAM. Fergus our technician, taught us for these workshops. During these lessons we learnt about controlling the sound, lighting, aperture, framing and loads more on the camera.

For a part of our lesson we was told to get into groups and try and sell a product using different camera shots. I paired up with Aquila and we decided to use her scarf as the product to sell.

I roughly know how to use a filming camera but i've never used Sony ones before. Sony cameras are great, they have HD screens and have a lot of settings that you can use to edit the screen without doing it in post-production. Im looking forward to filming and hoping to film the first two minutes of my script this weekend.
